She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2003 and initially practiced admiralty and maritime law representing railroads and shipping lines before shifting her focus to family law, business formation, and nonprofit governance. Her practice has a particular focus on serving the LGBTQ+, kink, and polyamorous/non-monogamous communities.
