Terms & Conditions
DivorceLawyer.com is an attorney directory and advertising platform — not a law firm. We provide attorneys with hosted profile pages, visibility in search results, AI-powered search indexing, and lead contact routing (the “Service”).
We reserve the right to enhance, modify, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We do not guarantee any specific search ranking, lead volume, or business outcome. Use this site lawfully — scraping content, submitting false information, or attempting unauthorized access may result in immediate suspension.
Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Submitting a contact form authorizes us to share your information with the attorney you’re reaching out to. Any representation or engagement is solely between you and that attorney.
To maintain a paid profile, you must be a licensed attorney — or represent a law firm whose attorneys are licensed — in active good standing in the jurisdictions where you practice. You agree to notify us immediately of any change to your licensure status, suspension, or disciplinary action.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your profile and all advertising content complies with applicable bar advertising rules, ethical obligations, and governing law. We do not pre-screen content for compliance and reserve the right to remove any profile content we determine to be false, misleading, or in violation of our policies.
Initial term & renewal
Subscriptions begin on your sign-up date with an initial 12-month term. You may choose to pay monthly in equal installments, or purchase the full year upfront at once. If you begin after the first day of a calendar month, your first monthly payment will be prorated for the remaining days of that month; your 12-month commitment begins the first day of the following month.
After the initial term, your subscription continues month-to-month and renews automatically on the first of each month until cancelled. Your rate is locked for the initial 12-month term. After that, we may adjust pricing with at least 30 days’ advance written notice.
Cancellation
To cancel or downgrade, provide written notice to hello@divorcelawyer.com or use the cancellation option in your profile dashboard. A minimum of 30 days’ written notice is required. You will only be responsible for the 30 days following your notice — no further charges will apply after that period ends.
At cancellation, individual attorney profiles revert to a free listing. Law firm profiles are not eligible for free listing and will be removed from search results upon cancellation.
Early cancellation
If you wish to cancel before the end of your initial 12-month term, you may do so with 30 days’ written notice. You will only be responsible for the 30 days following your notice date — no additional fees will be charged beyond that period.
If you paid annually upfront and cancel before the end of your term, you will receive a prorated refund of the unused balance minus a flat fee equivalent to 30 days of your monthly rate. Written notice is required for any refund to apply. All fees are otherwise non-refundable. Subscriptions are assignable to a successor in interest. DivorceLawyer.com Inc. may assign these Terms in their entirety, without notice or consent, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.
Failed payments
If a payment doesn’t go through, we’ll reach out to help sort it out. Continued non-payment may result in your profile being downgraded to a free listing.
You retain ownership of the substantive content you submit to your profile. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, index, and distribute that content as part of the Service — including through AI-powered features and third-party search platforms.
We may create a basic profile on your behalf using publicly available information, such as state bar records. If you are the attorney named on such a profile, you may claim it at any time by contacting us. Signing up for the Service constitutes authorization for us to claim or create your profile on your behalf.
We reserve the right to remove, edit, or decline to publish any content that is false, misleading, offensive, or inconsistent with our policies or applicable bar rules. All other site content — platform design, copy, data compilations, and AI-generated summaries — is owned by or licensed to DivorceLawyer.com Inc. and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Listings are not endorsements. Past results shown on profiles do not guarantee similar outcomes. We may use AI to generate or enhance content such as profile summaries — this content may contain errors and does not constitute legal advice.
Your profile data may be used to power AI search and matching features. To opt out, email hello@divorcelawyer.com.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for reliance on any attorney listing, the outcome of any legal matter, search rankings, AI content errors, lead volume, or unauthorized access to your data.
Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 6 months prior to the claim arising.
In no event shall DivorceLawyer.com Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DivorceLawyer.com Inc., its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense — including reasonable attorneys’ fees — arising from your profile content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any act or omission by you or your firm, including any claim of attorney malpractice or professional misconduct.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration under AAA rules, seated in Wilmington, Delaware. Small claims court remains available for qualifying matters. All claims must be brought individually — class actions are not permitted.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or site notice. Continued use after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance.
