James A. Jackson is a Coachella Valley native and Navy veteran with nearly four decades of courtroom experience in family law. He focuses on divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence matters, and brings particular experience assisting military members with divorce and custody issues. He served as a Judge Pro Tem at Indio Superior Court from 1997 to 2013 and as President of the Desert Bar Association's Family Law Section from 1996 to 1998. His practice, formerly the Law Office of James A. Jackson, merged with Hughes & Hughes on January 1, 2026 to form Hughes and Jackson, LLP.
