Lily Cool was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, and became interested in law after a ninth-grade speech and government class. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Political Science (minor in Psychology) before attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she earned the top grade in her litigation skills class and was involved in the Christian Legal Society and the Organization for Advancement of Women in the Law. During law school she interned with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas and the Smith County District Attorney's Office. She primarily practices family law and CPS law at Hager Law PLLC.
