Lucia "Lucy" Thompson earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southwestern University in May 1996 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 1999. She began her career doing insurance defense work at Hodge & James in Harlingen, Texas, then practiced family law at Dale & Klein before joining Griffith & Garza in 2003. She started her own family law practice in 2006, is Board Certified in Family Law, has served as a family law mediator since 2016, and has been trained in collaborative law since 2022.
