Paige Gilliard serves as the William Graham Jr. Director of the Custody Advocacy Program (CAP) at Children's Law Center of Central North Carolina. CAP provides Guardians ad Litem appointed by District Court Judges to advocate for children ages 0-18 in Forsyth and Guilford County cases involving Chapter 50B civil domestic violence protective orders and Chapter 50 high-conflict custody disputes. As Director, Gilliard oversees a program in which GAL attorneys investigate all aspects of a case and make recommendations to the court regarding custody, including referrals for services such as mental health treatment, parenting classes, and substance abuse treatment.
