Sonya R. Wright is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist who was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2011 and began her career as an associate attorney at Nunneley Family Law in Fort Worth before founding Sonya R. Wright, PLLC. She litigated the first publicly recognized same-sex divorce case in Tarrant County, Texas, and appealed the trial court's dismissal of that case to the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth. She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Oklahoma City University School of Law (2011) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, magna cum laude, from McMurry University (2007), and now practices family law and mediation in the Texas Hill Country region.
