Scot Sikes (full name Stephen Scot Sikes) founded the Law Offices of Scot Sikes in Columbus, Georgia in September 2006, focusing on military and civilian divorce and family law, court-martial defense, criminal defense, and personal injury. He earned his J.D. from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in May 1999 and was licensed by the State Bar of Georgia that November. Before entering private practice, he served as an active-duty Army Judge Advocate (JAG) beginning December 1999, including as a Trial Counsel, Senior Defense Counsel for the 3rd Infantry Division Trial Defense Service (2003-2005), and Senior Defense Counsel for southern Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan during a 2005-2006 deployment. He continued serving as an Army Reserve Judge Advocate, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2017 with over 26 years of total military service.
