She earned a B.A. in Journalism from The George Washington University in 1997 and worked as a sports production assistant at CNN Sports Illustrated before attending law school. She graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006 and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2007, after which she worked as a legal recruiter and as an associate attorney handling criminal defense before opening her own practice.
