Initially, people will ask, how do I find an attorney? And once I find that person, how do I know it’s the right attorney for me? As I tell my clients, they’re going to be going through what’s perhaps the most difficult, one of the most difficult aspects of their entire lives, going through a divorce. So it’s very important that they are able to establish the right connection with the attorney. And that works both ways. You know, when I’m interviewing a client, I. I want to make sure that I’m going to be able to help that person. And I would tell clients that it’s very important that they feel a connection with the attorney. Not only a connection sort of working professionally, but that they can relate to also the circumstances surrounding their case.
I mean, attorneys, especially divorce attorneys, are considered to be attorneys and counselors at law. And we sort of play, you know, interestingly, dual roles when it comes to that, because obviously, attorneys, we’re going to give legal advice, but also counseling clients through the emotional roller coasters that involve a divorce. So clients need to be very mindful that they’re. They can relate to the person that they’re ultimately going to be hiring for that process because they’re going to be intimately involved for a period of time, and that period of time could be anywhere between a couple of months or a couple of years.
